our Umpiring program

Our Umpiring Program is dedicated to nurturing skilled and confident umpires through a combination of structured training and ongoing support. The program equips participants with a strong understanding of the rules, techniques, and best practices required to officiate games effectively. Whether new to umpiring or seeking to refine their skills, individuals are provided with tailored resources and guidance to help them succeed. Our umpires undertake accredited training and are assigned to teams based on experience, coaching level, and age. You’re eligible to apply for a umpiring position in the year you turn 13. Our umpiring development program ensures all new umpires are paired with an experienced mentor for every game. This helps build their confidence and skill level. Mentors are able to provide positive feedback to umpires before, during, and after the game, giving on-the-spot advice to help them manage the game. By offering practical experience and clear pathways for accreditation, the program supports umpires at every stage of their development. This initiative not only enhances the quality of officiating within the club but also fosters a sense of achievement and community among participants, ensuring the continued growth of the sport.
